This Term we have been working on our MULTIPLICATION and DIVISION strategies.
We have made some fantastic progress and we now know several different ways of solving multiplication and division problems. Below are some examples!
Shannyn is showing us how to solve multiplication problems by skip counting and repeated addition. Multiplication just means 'groups of '! That doesn't sound so hard! What a brainiac!
Sophie is showing us how to solve unknown multiplication problems by using the problems she already knows. That's faster than skip counting from 0! That's quick maths!
Flynn is showing us how to solve unknown multiplication problems by using his knowledge of the 5 timestables. He splits up the 7 from 8 x 7 into a 5 and a 2. Genius!
Theo L is showing us how to solve division problems from using knowledge of his timestables. Division is just multiplication sums backwards! Fantastic thinking!
