The Rugby World Cup, the 3rd biggest sporting event in the world, is coming to NZ next month. This is one of the most important events ever held in NZ and and whether you love or hate rugby, it brings ample opportunity for learning about different countries, cultures, geography, statistics and good sportsmanship!
This term each child in Room 9 has "adopted" a country participating in the World Cup and will be learning about that country throughout the term. They will also get a chance to present what they have learnt to the class, dress up in their adopted country's colours and explain how their country is doing in the tournament.
